Most of July

I've found that the more we do and the more time that I let pass between blog posts, the more overbearing the task of writing a new post gets. As a result, every time I update after letting a month pass, I resolve to update more frequently... And here we are again three weeks later. Oh well =)

Double Rainbow

Not too many Yellowstone related happenings to report this week.

Last weekend we went out of town to a city called Bozeman. Our wedding is on June 29th next year so we thought we should do something special to mark one year and before the stress of planning begins. This weekend getaway entailed a lovely evening of camping in the local Wal-mart parking lot, seeing a movie, walking the galleries of the downtown area, eating plenty of good food and we topped it all off with a night in a hotel (with a pool!!). We're easy to please/pamper. It was an awesome weekend.

The rest of the week was pretty nice too. I had a luncheon at work for the 4th of July. Being a good cook must be a secret qualification for working here, because everything was delicious. I brought my new signature dish, something I learned in high school from my best friends, called "Really, Really Good Stuff". It's a crowd pleaser every time =)

That  night we went to Livingston (about 45 minutes away) to the farmer's market and listened to a band play there. Fireworks are banned here because of the current fires, but it was a great evening regardless and the fireworks weren't even missed. The rest of the week was ok, a lot of working and not much playing.

Today is our Friday and we have a couple of big hikes planned this weekend, so I'm sure there will be a post about those sometime next week.

Oh! And we just saw a double rainbow over the mountains!

Hope your weekend/week is filled with pleasant surprises!
Peace and Love.
